We are please to announce the recent renewal of our Cornerstone accreditation from 30 January 2009 to 30 January 2012. Cornerstone is a quality certification from the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners. Belfast North MEDIQUAL Doctors is now in its fourth year of Cornerstone practice status, and we will continue to demonstrate our commitment to upholding the standards set out in Aiming for Excellence and the improvement of quality of care.

After Hours Service Improved

We are pleased to inform that our phone line will now be answered by registered nurses when our surgery is closed.

From May 2010, instead of being diverted directly to the Pegasus 24 hour surgery your call will be answered by a Registered Nurse at HML Nurse-Led Telephone Triage.

The Registered Nurse will be able to provide advice if you are feeling unwell and help you to access medical care if you require it. If you need to be seen by a doctor the registered nurses at HML will refer you to the appropriate service.

We hope that this extension to our service will provide improved support and access to the best care during the times we are unable to provide it to you ourselves.

Welcome Dr Gillian Brown

Belfast North MEDIQUAL Doctors has welcomed Dr Gillian Brown to our team. Dr Gillian is a lovely experienced GP recently relocated from Wellington and we are very pleased to have her on board.

She is working Tuesday to Thursday from 9.00am to 5.30pm.
