Our Physiotherapists are Joanne McKay (Dip PHYS, MNZPPA, MNZSP, ANZSP) and Bonnie Yang (BPhty, MNZSP).

Joanne McKay was a top graduate of the Otago School of Physiotherpy in 1990 and has practiced extensively in New Zealand and overseas. Bonnie Yang is the full time physio at MEDIQUAL™ and holds a Physiotherapy degree from Otago University.

MEDIQUAL™ physiotherapists can help you with any of the common aches and pains you may have, including:

They offer one-on-one, individualised treatment sessions, during which they will give you an initial examination to determine the diagnosis, followed by treatment for the problem, which could include:

• Joint mobilisation
• Joint manipulation (peripheral)
• Traction
• Stretching exercises
• Strengthening exercises
• Massage
• Acupuncture
• Ultrasound
• Electrical stimulation
• Heat or ice therapy
• Education

If you need physiotherapy as the result of an accident or injury then your physiotherapy treatment should be covered by ACC. Many insurance policies also cover physiotherapy. You can come direct to our Physiotherapists without a referral.
